When I’m not on track I can usually be found working at one of the top Investment Banks as a consultant for my company Marque One Consulting.

Before moving to the UK I completed a Science degree with majors in Computer Science and Mathematics. I also did a Commerce degree with a major in Finance. I then moved to London where I spent 4 years as an FX Swaps trader during which time I completed post grad studies in Applied Finance and Investment (and various other smaller courses such as PRINCE2).

Circumstances led to the bank closing the swaps desk and our team of three were offered roles in other areas of the bank. But after a short period of time at my newly appointed sales role I was unhappy so left to deliberate on my career. I ended up going down the project management route with the attraction being more reasonable hours.

These days my work entails any thing from Project Accounting, Project Support, Vendor Management/Negotiations and Business Analyst. I love working with numbers so as long as my head is in a spreadsheet or building cost models I’m happy.

The banks I have worked for include Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, HSBC, RBS, HVB, CBA and UBS. I’ve also done consulting for smaller media companies in my spare time such as Heat UK.
